Built on the original site of the Olympus movie theater, this 22 story condominium building was completed in 2005. It is located on the south side of Broadway and 107th Street, directly across from Straus Park . Straus Park had just recently finished a complete renovation and is a beautiful addition to the Columbia University neighborhood. The building has high ceilings and some very nice views of the city and the Hudson River as well.
Being one of the taller buildings in the area, most of the apartments get good light and feel open and airy.
The building was designed by Randolf Gerner of CKV architects and developed by the Clarett Group. The Clarett Group has been very active in New York City Development with a number of completed projects including the Sky House downtown and another building on 57th Street as well to mention a few. They also developed the Montross on East 38th and the Post Toscana on 89th.
These are very stylish condominiums and the highest quality is evident throughout. There are solid core doors and beautiful oak wood floors, and the near floor-to-ceiling windows - large open panels with Colonial-style grid borders - are among the most attractive available anywhere. The state-of-the-art kitchen is a real treat with striking marble counter tops, custom cabinetry and top of the line appliances.
